Your sauna should give you the right dosage of light and heat your body absorbs best so that you get the maximum health benefit. Unlike any other heater, Sunlighten’s patented 3 in 1® delivers the perfect wavelength of each infrared wave, like dialing in a specific radio station. You get precise far, mid and near infrared and red light wavelengths for optimal results. Also, they have innovated the 3 in 1 heater using 50+ data points from 37 3rd-party clinical research studies to create different combinations of each wavelength through the 6 pre-set health benefit programs. Research shows low levels of light have a much better effect on stimulating and repairing tissues than higher levels. Sunlighten has blended low levels of red light with NIR light to bathe you in both, allowing us to create a quiet, comfortable red light therapy experience. FAQ

  • Most people partake in a 30-45 minute session, 3-4 times a week, but it is safe to use every day and at whatever heat suits you best.

  • Proper sauna use is important; just like we warm up and cool down our bodies when we exercise, there are some basic steps to follow to ensure you gain maximum benefits of using a sauna.

    • Drink a minimum of 8 oz. of water to prepare your body for an increase in core body temperature.

    • Lay down towels on the bench to absorb sweat. It’s also nice to have an extra around to wipe your face during sessions. We recommend using Celliant towels.

    • Watch your time: Make sure to adjust your session length in accordance to your body’s needs. If you are just beginning with regular sauna use, it is important to start slow and get your body accustomed to infrared therapy. We recommend beginning with 10-15 minute sessions at 100°F. Always listen to your body and adjust based on what it’s telling you.

    • Stick with it for long-term benefits: Just as with exercise or eating healthy, sauna use takes time and consistency to see results. You may not even sweat the first few times you use the sauna but know that sweating (and the detox that comes with it) will increase over time, leaving you feeling rejuvenated and healthy. Pure Sweat amplifying cream is recommended which increases sweating and circulation to boost results.

    • Rehydrate with at least 24 oz. of water or electrolyte drink.

    • It is recommended to rinse off following your sauna session. Our sauna room is equipped with a shower for your convenience.

  • Metal pins, rods, artificial joints or any other surgical implants generally reflect infrared waves and thus are not heated by this system. Nevertheless, you should consult your physician prior to using an infrared sauna.

  • Just as with exercise or eating healthy, sauna use takes time and consistency to see results. You may not sweat the first few times you use the sauna but, know that sweating (and the detox that comes with it) will increase over time, leaving you feeling rejuvenated and healthy.

    After using regularly and still not sweating to your bodies potential, there could be other factors at play. Are you drinking enough water? Are you only hydrating on days you know you will sit in the sauna? It is recommended that you drink half your body weight in ounces.

    If you are properly hydrated, Pure Sweat cream will induce sweating. Pure sweat amplifies your body’s ability to sweat by increasing your sweating potential three times higher than without Pure Sweat.

  • You do not need to, but if you are concerned always use caution and feel comfortable to wear goggles. We do recommend you do not look directly into the near-infrared/red light panels.

  • Red light/near infrared loses effectiveness the farther away you sit. To get the full effect, find a comfortable position to sit in near the LED panel.
